What’s New in Physical Therapy?
Web Conference with Your Patients/Clients Off-Site.

Are you ready to offer a new hybrid (onsite/virtual) approach to physical therapy?

There is no question that many rehabilitation consumers need a more convenient, affordable and accessible physical therapy experience --- or they simply won’t go.

Many patients have insurance limitations that require onsite visits to be spread out. Others want to continue receiving exercise prescription updates online from their physical therapist after discharge. And many patients want an interactive relationship to continue long-term with their physical therapist who they have built a rapport with and who understands their injury history.

PERFECT FIT PRO is now available with a newly integrated web conferencing solution that allows your patients to view your screen while you walk them through their exercise programs over the phone.

Patients who are on the road or at home can receive prescribed exercise programs online which they can follow at their convenience ….and you can spend valuable time on the phone with your patient when onsite physical therapy is not an option.

Patient Scenario

A 38 year old female patient who travels a lot for work has 3 active children with many activities. She is a tennis player and recently has been noticing some low back pain. Her busy schedule only allows for a couple of onsite visits right now.

Her evaluation identified abdominal and low back weakness and hamstring tightness. You determine that she would benefit from a consistent core stabilization and lower extremity flexibility program that should be progressed over the next 12 weeks under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist. Unfortunately, her schedule does not allow for regular onsite visits (even during the first month).

She agrees to two onsite visits and to receiving a progressive online exercise program every two weeks which you send using PERFECT FIT PRO. You charge her $15 per online program sent. The exercise program includes sports specific strengthening exercises that target specific low back and abdominal muscles, and hamstring stretching exercises. You offer optional 30 minute virtual visits (enabled by your web conferencing system) each month for $40 --- which she decides will be beneficial and agrees to. Onsite re-evaluations / instructional sessions are offered for $75 which she decides to decline due to her schedule limitations.

From this patient you earn $75 in revenues for five exercise prescriptions sent online and $80 for two virtual visits which enabled her to see your screen and ask questions to you on the phone. This equates to $155 in new PT revenues.

For Consideration: How many patients/clients could you gain/retain as customers by offering this hybrid (onsite/virtual) approach?
